It is a requirement of the BC Adoption Act that all prospective adoptive parents complete an education program.
The Sunrise Adoption Education program is available exclusively to our families, on our website. Sunrise parents complete the program at their own pace, on their own time, wherever they are. We regularly add new information to the program and receive great feedback from parents who take it. It is comprehensive and relevant.
In addition, the Sunrise Program includes any two workshops offered by the Adoptive Families Association of British Columbia . These sessions are offered across British Columbia and are a useful supplement to the Sunrise online program. Sunrise padopting parents can attend without charge and meet other prospective adoptiing parents in their area.
Our online program includes an ever-expanding library containing a wealth of information. The library continues to be available to you after your adoption is complete.
