Birthmothers Panel

A panel of birthmothers, who are part of the Sunrise birthmother support group, will discuss adoption from a birthmother's point of view.

This session is mandatory for parents adopting locally and is highly recommended for anyone adopting from the United States. Families who have attended this presentation have reported that it was the most significant and helpful component of their preparation for adoption

Furthermore, feedback from previous sessions has shown that understanding adoption from the birthmother's point of view is invaluable in preparing to talk to internationally adopted children about their birth families.

There is no charge for Sunrise clients but pre-registration is required.  This is an extremely popular event and always fills up quickly.
