The Children of Kazakhstan

• Live in orphanages
• Are approximately 1 year of age or older

The Parents

• Must be married couples
• Both must be under 50 years of age.
• If one parent is between 45 and 50 years of age they may adopt a child over 3 years of age.
• May be of any religious belief

Approximate Waiting Period

As one of the few remaining countries in Asia where Canadians can adopt, it is receiving many applications. As a result the time frames are lengthening and at this time it is hard to predict how long it will take.

Adopting parents can anticipate 1 or 2 trips spread over 8 weeks.
